Private 1:1 Fashion Design Programme - Doctoral Level This is a private, 1:1 fashion design programme delivered at doctoral level by Dr Ivie Liberty - PhD Fashion and Textiles, university lecturer, and professional womenswear designer.

Level 1 : The programme covers three level 1 across 2 structured weeks and is fully tailored to the individual student. By the end of Week 2, your Fashion Research is complete.

What you will learn

• Introduction to fashion design - the creative and commercial landscape of the industry

• Fashion history and its influence on contemporary design

• Primary research: surveys, interviews, observation, and ethnographic study

• Secondary research: trend reports, trade publications, archive references, and cultural analysis

• Trend research and forecasting - identifying, interpreting, and applying emerging trends

• Mood board creation - concept development, visual storytelling, and theme building

• The design development process - from initial research to first design ideas

• Understanding your customer - target market research and consumer profiling

• Responding to a fashion design brief - interpreting and structuring a creative response

• Colour theory and fabric awareness as design tools

By the end of this level you will

• Conduct and document both primary and secondary fashion research with confidence

• Identify and interpret fashion trends and apply them to original design concepts

• Create professional mood boards and concept presentations

• Develop original design ideas from a structured research foundation

Terms and Conditions

• Enrolment deposit 50% non-refundable deposit of £750 required to confirm your place.

• Payment plan Remaining £750 paid in agreed instalments during the programme. All payments completed before the final session. Certificate issued on full payment only.

• Individual levels Levels can be taken individually: Level 1 £1,500 - Level 2 £1,700 - Level 3 £2,400. Full programme £5,600.

• Delivery Available in-person.

• Software (Level 3) Students must have Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator and Photoshop). Adobe student subscriptions available via adobe.com. Setup guidance provided before Level 3 begins

• Certification: Certificate of completion awarded on finishing level 1. Full payment must be received before certification is issued.

• Cancellation: Cancellation is not allowed once deposit is paid. Deposit is non-refundable.

• Prerequisites Level 1 open to all - no prior experience required. Level 3 benefits from prior drawing experience or completion of Level 2.

• Class size 1:1 only. All sessions private, delivered exclusively by Dr Ivie Liberty.
